Floating Features™ Presents: Cinema on the Bay™
Presented by Red and White Fleet and the Roxie Theatre.
Our battery plug-in hybrid vessel Enhydra has been turned into a floating cinema, and Red and White is partnering with San Francisco’s historic, nonprofit cinema The Roxie to screen films for a limited time this fall. Imagine watching a movie out on the Bay with the bridges, skylines and hills as the backdrop. The titles will range from new releases to cult classics, with a focus on the Bay Area.
Experience the amazing views of the Bay and San Francisco skyline from the top deck, which is fully open and offers plenty of comfortable seating, an unbeatable vantage point for viewing a film outdoors. A full bar, snacks and cozy blankets complete the experience. A complimentary bag of popcorn is included in the ticket price.
Friday, October 18th, 7:00pm departure:
After Barbara (Geena Davis) and Adam Maitland (Alec Baldwin) die in a car accident, they find themselves stuck haunting their country residence, unable to leave the house. When the unbearable Deetzes (Catherine O’Hara, Jeffrey Jones) and teen daughter Lydia (Winona Ryder) buy the home, the Maitlands attempt to scare them away without success. Their efforts attract Beetlejuice (Michael Keaton), a rambunctious spirit whose “help” quickly becomes dangerous for the Maitlands and innocent Lydia.
Saturday, October 19, 7:00pm departure:
So I Married An Axe Murderer
Just after a bad breakup, Charlie MacKenzie (Mike Myers) falls for lovely butcher Harriet Michaels (Nancy Travis) and introduces her to his parents. But, as voracious consumers of sensational tabloids, his parents soon come to suspect that Harriet is actually a notorious serial killer — “Mrs. X” — wanted in connection with a string of bizarre honeymoon killings. Thinking his parents foolish, Charlie proposes to Harriet. But while on his honeymoon with her, he begins to fear they were right.
Sunday, October 20, 7:00pm departure:
The Nightmare Before Christmas
The film follows the misadventures of Jack Skellington, Halloweentown’s beloved pumpkin king, who has become bored with the same annual routine of frightening people in the “real world.” When Jack accidentally stumbles on Christmastown, all bright colors and warm spirits, he gets a new lease on life — he plots to bring Christmas under his control by kidnapping Santa Claus and taking over the role. But Jack soon discovers even the best-laid plans of mice and skeleton men can go seriously awry.
