Generally, if you are an international or out-of-state visitor to San Francisco and plan to explore the city for several days, we don’t recommend you have a rental car in the city. It’s very easy to navigate San Francisco’s walkable neighborhoods on foot, public transportation, and hop-on hop-off busses. It’s a great way to experience San Francisco’s vibrant street life with its many restaurants, shops, attractions, and public art displays. And even getting into San Francisco from either SFO or OAK airports is easy when using BART trains or ride share services.

Traffic in San Francisco can be stop-and-go, particularly during rush hour, baseball games, and the busy summer months. Please be sure to allow for extra time to make it to Fisherman's Wharf, as we are unable to hold our cruise departures.

PARKING:

If you’re driving into San Francisco, there are many parking lots within Fisherman's Wharf, but these can fill up. So we highly recommend booking convenient and affordable San Francisco parking in advance through SpotHero, the nation’s leading parking reservation app.  To reserve your parking spot, visit the Red and White Fleet SpotHero Parking Page and book a spot with rates up to 50% off drive-up New to SpotHero? Click here to download the SpotHero app.
